This little boys Mom called me a month or so back and said, "I have an active 2 year old that I just can't get good pro pictures done of. He won't sit still long enough to get good shots." I knew EXACTLY what she meant...you know why? Because I photograph kids like that ALL the time! It's the part I love...a challenge!

And in my studio, almost anything goes. I will never ask your child to sit still. We act goofy, we dance in tutus, make funny faces, build furniture, throw balls, and when it's all said and done I've gotten some great shots of these little active ones running across the backdrops!

Anyway, this little guy did really really well, with the help of his folks too! I got lots and lots of good shots, here's just a few I wanted to share.

I am quickly closing in on the end of my senior season! I roll into my Christmas season about mid October and at that time, I am done with seniors until spring. So, if you are a senior this year and you'd like to have some unique portraits done for your senior photos I need to set up your appointment as soon as possible. I typically book about 2-3 weeks out so pop me an email and we can see what we have available. Don't wait until October to contact me, it will be too late.

The Madison parks and rec. 12U baseball team went to district this year and then slid into a seed at state. So off to Williamsburg they all went. Even though they finished 5th out of 8 teams, they had a great time and it was a good experience for this young team. They beat Arlington and were able to compete with teams like Glen Allen and Summit Point...nuf said!

The NEW Tutu's are HERE!!!

I had a modeling session with Reilly last week to show these off to everyone here. Here are all the new tutu's that are now available for photos. Some of them would be PERFECT for Christmas time or for birthday photos...or just general tutu fun!

The tutus are VERY size adjustable, all the way down to babies (at least sitting) to 7 year olds (as pictured) and even bigger! If you look back in my blog history you'll spot a high school senior playing around in a tutu!

It's High School Senior Time Again

Can you BELIEVE it's that time already?????? The summer has really flown by for us all. With only 4 weeks before school, I have been cracking down on some senior portraits. It's actually a GREAT time to come in for a senior session. You can beat the crowds and get an appointment easily. I do seniors throughout the year but to make the yearbook deadline and have your photos in the fall when everyone else does, you have to come before October 1st. I take a break from seniors from October 1st to February 1st due to holiday sessions, then I pick them back up in the spring when the flowers are in bloom. If you are all thinking of having me do your senior casual shots, please email me now as it really is the perfect time to get an appointment.

I offer 3 different types of session.

A Standard Portrait Session $30 session fee, it takes about an hour and we do it all in the studio. You can change clothes a few times and bring your sports props or whatever your hobbies are.

A Location Session $40, it takes about an hour and I meet you on location (your choice in Madison, Culpeper or Greene). Again, you can change clothes and bring props...like your CAR!

A Double Session is a combo of both! This session lasts 2 hours and the fee is $50. We start out in the studio and then we move to the location of your choice. Your proof gallery is larger with this one as I take more photos!

I've already done a few seniors this summer but this was one of my favorites. But I'll post a few more and maybe some from last year a little later.

This soon to be Mom I met online on a club we both were members of. She's a wonderful sweet person with a great heart. Her hubby matches her perfectly. They will have a beautiful baby. They entrusted me so much to capture their maternity shots that they drove 3 hours to do it here! Below are just a few that I know she wouldn't mind me posting.
